Choosing an appropriate business management course is difficult in the sense that there are so many of them! Your decison will likely be influenced by your desired or current career choice. Some management course instiutions we follow are more specialised such as the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS) which offer very popular, useful and contemporary purchasing, (procurement) courses.
The Chartered Management Institute (CMI) and Association of Business Executives (ABE) might be considered as being the two "heavy-weights" and offer a wide range of business management courses offered from certificate level through to postgraduate courses.
As a rudimentary business management course comparison: the Association of Business Executives can be considered as having a truly international scope since ABE recognised by many overseas Ministries of Education.
CMI on the other hand is the only chartered professional body in the UK for management courses with more than 85,000 members. CMI courses also lead to becoming and achieving Chartered Manager status.
